After years when the vicissitudes of life have separated us, the power of the Internet has now brought the UKPoetryLive team together again, despite now living many, many miles apart and spanning continents.
We are now pleased to start the second life of this website, one of the oldest poetry pages on the web, with a poem by Annie Hayter, 'Dark Firmament', and wish to follow it with an article. We hope our choice of a young and talented poetess to bring new light in the firmament of poetry will also please our readers.
Our mission is to support talented, innovative, experimental and avant garde poets who really wish to help this wonderful art discover new forms, new voices, new dimensions. We are pleased to see that Adriano Bulla has, in our absence, become a force to be reckoned with and are proud to have been one of the first organisations that have supported him. We wish to do the same for other poets now: with more than 100,000 visitors to our site (so our counter says), we think we have a good platform to offer.
We will announce our competition (though we hate the word), for budding poets, and would wish to have submissions.
Should anyone be interested in reviewing their poems, or any of our featured poets', please remember that you are more than welcome to contact Sam Jenkin at ukpoetrylive@yahoo.co.uk.
